White Collar Criminal

Our white collar criminal practice includes the defense of business persons and professionals against charges of fraud including healthcare fraud, tax fraud, mail and wire fraud and conspiracy to defraud. A conspiracy is an agreement of two or more persons to violate the law. In a criminal case the government has to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. In a conspiracy case, the government must prove that the defendant had knowledge of the objective of the conspiracy, the intent to join the conspiracy and accomplish its objectives. We do not represent defendants in drug cases.

We have been involved the trial of criminal bid-rigging and price fixing cases in federal courts in places such as North Dakota, Kansas, Arkansas, New York and Illinois. Successful not guilty verdicts have been obtained in industries such as liquid asphalt, school milk, trash hauling and retail gasoline as well as contracting.
